Our History
The Alaska Native Village CEO Association (ANVCA) was formed in 2010 to bring CEO’s of Alaska Native Village Corporations together to share their resources for village corporation success. ANVCA established its annual gathering as a collaborative village corporation event filled with professional training and advocacy in the areas of land, shareholder relations, government contracting, board development, and government relations.
As ANVCA grew, village corporation board of directors, their land, shareholder relations, financial and government contracting departments asked to be more involved the collaborative efforts of ANVCA. The name was then changed to the Alaska Native Village Corporation Association.
